Surgeon/Owner: Renee Bazan, DVM Dr. Renee Bazan is a 2000 Texas A&M University veterinary graduate (Cum Laude) and 1996 Bachelor in Zoology graduate (Magna Cum laude) who was initially employed by a full-service clinic in south Houston. Since 2006, she has been employed with nonprofit, high-volume, spay/neuter clinics focusing their efforts on eliminating Houston's and the surrounding area's pet overpopulation problem. She has gained invaluable experience necessary for successfully managing a specialized clinic while providing the community with a priceless service for their pets. |

Wellness Veterinarian: David Campbell, DVM Dr. David Campbell is a 2000 Texas A&M University veterinary graduate. His veterinary interests include emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, and exotics. Dr. Campbell enjoys travel, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. A true lover of animals, he counts as his dear friends his cats, box turtles, parrots, and a ball python. |

Wellness Veterinarian: Melissa Lennon, DVM Dr. Melissa Lennon is a 2000 Texas A&M University veterinary graduate. After graduating, Melissa has worked in several full-service hospitals in Arlington, Portland, and the Katy/Houston area. She is very excited to be working at the KAAWS Clinic alongside her former classmates, offering affordable care and education to the clients. Melissa lives in the Katy area with her husband and two sons. She has always been an extreme dog lover, and is currently looking to add a furry child to her family.

Clinic Manager/Animal Technician II: Lala Alvarez Originally from Wisconsin, Lala's love for animals began at an early age. She started volunteering for rescue groups and animal shelters when she was 12. Lala has been trained as a technician, groomer, and trainer, and has over 15 years experience in animal husbandry. Her goals are to promote animal rescue, spaying/neutering, and basic education on animal health care to ensure all animals are given the chance to live a long and healthy life. She has 4 furry children including 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a squirrel. |

Animal Technician II: Ave' Maria Serges Ave' has been involved in animal care since childhood and was raised in an environment with many different varieties of pets. She has previously worked at UTMB/Galveston and HHMI/Denver as a research associate and graduated with a BA in communications from Colorado University. For the last 6 years she has worked with spay/neuter clinics and believes that everyone in the family should have access to affordable healthcare, including the four-legged ones. She has 2 male family members in her houshold, son Jordan and a well mannered chihuahua Bishop |

Animal Technician I: Sarah Schubert Sarah's love for animals started at an early age. She has had anything from lizards to sugargliders as pets. She has been a vet tech for five years. She enjoys promoting the health and care of all animals. Sarah currently has three boxers, one dachshund, a cat, and a veiled chameleon. |

Animal Technician I: Rosina Barker Originally from northern Indiana, Rosina moved to Houston in 2011. She graduated from the PIMA Medical Institute in 2012. She is married and has a daughter. As a child she would always help an animal in need, from birds with broken wings to squirrels trapped in fences. Her compassion for animals inspired her to choose a career that would fulfill her love for working with animals. She has really enjoyed sharing her life with a variety of animals such as dogs, hamsters, frogs, and cats. She is currently proud to have the companionship of two cats, Sox and Scaredy Cat. She is looking forward to continuing her education to better assist in the care of the many animals that have grown to become members of our families. |

Animal Technician I: Rebeca Ontiveros I was born and raised in Houston and graduated from the PIMA Medical Institute in 2012. I have loved animals since I was a kid and decided after graduation high school to go into the animal care field. I plan to continue my studies and eventually become a veterinarian. I have two dogs, Max and Lexi, and we enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood. A few of my favorite hobbies include walking my dogs, playing video games, and drawing. |

Animal Technician I: Jessica Menjivar Jessica was born and raised in Houston, Texas with Salvadorean heritage. Growing up as a child, she was never allowed to have any pets of her own besides a fish tank, which only made her love for animals grow even stronger. Her biggest dream is to one day become a Veterinarian specialized in exotic animals. In December of 2011 she graduated as Veterinary Paramedic from Houston Community College. In August of 2012 Jessica was blessed with a lovely boxer puppy to whom she named Venus, the Roman goddess of Love and Happiness. Jessica wishes to meet new furry friends and provided the best care they could ever have. |

Lead Receptionist: Sarah Privette Sarah is originally from northern Maine and grew up with dogs, cats, and birds. She is new to the animal field, but has several years experience in client relations and management. Sarah enjoys being able to help both owners and their pets achieve the highest level of health care. She especially appreciates being able to do this in an environment that allows so many to afford services that may otherwise have been overlooked due to the high costs. She is the proud pet parent of one dog, and one cat.

Receptionist: Sheena Scott I'm origanally from Houston and moved back recently with my fiancee Bradley. I have always loved animals, especially dogs. I currently have two fur babies, Lindsay and Darby. I love hanging out with family and friends, photography, traveling, and taking my girls to the dog park. |

Receptionist: Aubrey Workman Aubrey recently moved from Utah. She has always loved animals, even from an early age. This love of animals led her to start working in the veterinary field after graduating from Utah State University. Aubrey and her husband are expecting their first child this August. Last year they added a new furry feline named ”Lexi” to their family. Aubrey enjoys planning events, cooking, and decorating |
